Join us on Thursday, February 27th at 11am EST to ask NuoDB CTO, Seth Proctor and Software Engineer, Ross Shaull, all your questions about Distributed Coordination in NuoDB. Distributed coordination is about solving the distributed systems problem of coordinating concurrent (usually asynchronous) actions by multiple nodes so that the system state as a whole is correct (safety) and makes progress (liveness). We'll talk about the NuoDB approach to low-level distributed coordination, and touch on some novel and efficient designs for solving problems such as group membership and leadership in NuoDB (a responsibility shared among nodes in the database via a mechanism NuoDB calls chairmanship). This is the second installment of a monthly Live Q&A series called NuoDB Unplugged, where Seth will introduce and explain key features of our product. Each month, he'll be joined by a guest engineer and will give viewers an insider's look at the technical inner workings of NuoDB. Get all the details about the series and sign-up for future invites here: http://go.nuodb.com/nuodb-unplugged.html Ask Questions! Post any questions you have before or during the event directly on the event page or tweet @nuodb with the tag #NuoDBUnplugged We look forward to hearing from you!
